Processes Of Making Jeevamrutham(Liquid Fertilizer)


JEEVAMRUTHAM AS AN ALTERNATIVE OF CHEMICAL FERTILIZERS IN RICE PRODUCTION.ORGANIC FARMING USES A TRADITIONAL ORGANIC FERTILIZER CALLED JEEVAMRUTHAM.

Jeevamrutham can be used as a fertilizer for each plant for every week, which boosts the plant growth and gives good yield. We need to use the prepared one within one week of preparation. Please note that once Jeevamrutham is used, one shouldn’t water the plants for 12 hrs.Many agricultural products based on indigenous fermentation technologies are used in organic farming like bio dynamic preparations and liquid manures.Dependence on Chemical fertilizers and pesticides has made farming operations unsustainable on all fronts.


Preparation process for 200lts

Ingredients:
  • Fresh cow dung - 10 Kgs
  • Cow urine - 10 liters
  • Jaggery - 2 kgs
  • Gram flour (Black gram / Urud dhal or Bengal gram) : 2kg  
  • Water: 200 liters
  • Hand full of soil from your farm
Procedure:-
  1. Take a plastic container which can accommodate more than 200 liters of a solution and place it under a tree. As its good to have this solution prepared under a shade.
  2. Now first mix the Fresh cow dung and urine thoroughly in the container, use a stick of about 6 ft tall to stir it. Use clock wise movement while stirring.
  3. Then, add the gram floor to the mixture, add it little by little and stir continuesly. Make sure that the flour mix well with the mixture.
  4. Then add jaggery to it, Better use the jaggery which is free from pesticide and chemicals. If the jaggery is not in powder form when you buy it, then crush it well before adding. Continue to stir well
  5. Add the soil from your land, in which you wish to apply this solution. This is bring the micro organisms from your land to the mixture and make a friendly solution for your land.
  6. Then finally add water and stir well.
  7. Keep this solution closed with a jute bag and stir in clockwise direction in the morning and evening for 48 hours. Then the solution is ready for the field.
  8. You can filter this solution and add to the flowing water or you can also add in your drip irrigation.
"This Jeevamrutham can be used for next 7 - 14 days . Per Acre 200 - 400ltr Jeevamrutham along with Irrigation. once or twice a month.Jeevamrutham is to be applied in soil only when its MOIST. Not when its dry. If its Dry climate, apply it during evening, night.

Via spray on the crop / plants.

  • By Spraying the jeevamrutham on the plants/Trees, we can increase the process of Photosynthesis.
  • ATP are the Solar energy conservers in the plant @ 12.5Kcal of Solar Energy.
  • First Spray, 1 Month after seeding. Sprayed straight on the crop. If we spray on the crop and as well as on the soil at the same time, benefit will be doubled.
  • 100 Ltr Water :  5 ltr Filtered Jeevamrutham to be sprayed. per acre.
  • Second Spray 21 days after the first spray.
  • 150ltr Water: 10ltr Filtered Jeevamrutham to be sprayed per acre.
  • Third Spray 21 days after the Second Spray.
  • 200ltr Water : 20ltr Filtered Jeevamrutham to be sprayed per acre.
  • Last Spray during the Milking stage of the plant, bud 
  • Or when the fruits are small or when the Pods are small
  • Or Budding stage for flowers.
  • 200Ltr Water : 5-6Ltr Sour Butter Milk to be sprayed per acre
  • Now for Standing Orchard, like, mango, papaya that are in yielding stage.
  • Immediately Spray Jeevamrutham after harvesting of the fruits.
  • 200ltr water: 20ltr Jeevamrutham to be sprayed on the stems where from fruit was plucked.
  • This is to close the pipe that secretes honeywhich attracts fungus. Spraying Jeevamrutham on this time will help solve this fungus attack
  • When the new leaves come after the dormancy, 
  • 200ltr water : 20ltr Jeevamrutham to be sprayed on the tree to increase the canopy.
  • After 1 month spray again on the tree 
  • 200ltr water : 20ltr Jeevamrutham to be sprayed on the tree to increase the canopy.
  • To save the flower during the flowering stage.
  • Next during the flowering stage,
  • 200ltr Water + 5ltr Dasaparniarkam kashayam +
  • Or 200ltr Neemastram without dilution.. 
  • Next spray of this medicine after 21 days
  • or the previous spray.
  • 200ltr Water + 5ltr Dasaparniarkam kashayam +
  • Or 200ltr Neemastram without dilution.. 

 Processes Of Making Jeevamrutham(Liquid Fertiliser) for the small quantity for home purpose:


Ingridiants
  •  1/2 litre Cow Urine
  •  1/2 K.g Cow Dung
  • 100 gms Jaggery
  •  100 gms Basin Powder/ Black-eyed peas or cow peas Powder
  •  2 tb spn of Top soil
Procedure
  1. In 2 and 1/2 litre water mix cow dung, urine Jaggery and basin powder. Stir the contents with stick. Make sure no lumps are there in the liquid.
  2.  In this add 7 litres of water so that will get 10 litres of liquid.
  3.  Keep this container outside under the shade/ under the tree. place some cotton cloth over it.
  4. Stir the  liquid in the container every day in morning and evening for about 15 minutes.
  5.  Jeevamrutham will be prepared in 48 hrs, Can use directly to plants.
